Alright, I won’t say I’m surprised, but I am a little disappointed.Crackdown 3 was Microsoft’s only big exclusive title heading into the 2017 holiday season and was supposed to showcase their new Scorpio console. For those who don’t know, Crackdown is an open world, third-person shooter, published by Microsoft that boasts having a completely destructible environment. Every single piece of rubble is physics driven, and affects how destruction happens, but there’s a catch with such impressive tech, it all has to run in the cloud. The demo at E3 showed Microsoft spinning up 30 cloud servers for one multiplayer game… That can’t be cheap, and I suspect it’s part of the reason for the delay.
