Fortnite hits 350 Million Players – The Verge

Epic’s Fortnite has reportedly reached 350 Million registered players this week. This growth makes the free-to-play Battle Royale one of the most popular titles ever made. However, Epic has not released player activity besides how in April players have collectively played 3.2 Billion hours. Aside from the standard PvP, a new Party Royale adds on to the game by allowing players to log in and hang out, run around and watch concerts.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla to launch as Epic Games Store exclusive- GameSpot

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will be launching later this year for current and next-gen consoles and PC.  For PC releases, Valhalla will be naturally available on Ubisoft’s Uplay service but will be launching on Epic Games Store instead of Steam. Epic is confirmed to be Ubisoft’s official third-party distributor, a great draw for the online platform. This decision is part of a continued thought of Steam’s outdated business model of keeping 30% from game purchases.

New Game from Amazon coming May 20th – Polygon

Amazon Game Studios has been working on a new shooter called Crucible since back in 2016. Crucible will be a PC-exclusive team-based shooter set to launch on May 20th. One major feature to set Crucible apart from other PvP team-based shooters is the inclusion of neutral NPC monsters, adding MOBA elements to the genre. Crucible will be free-to-play on Steam.
