This will be an event to watch for to get a sneak peek at what’s new and exciting in gaming for the coming year.
Overwatch 2 beta will get more heroes, maps, and hero reworks, Blizzard says – Polygon.com
The Overwatch 2 PVP beta released last week generated massive interest in the game on Twitch and other streaming outlets. Tuesday, Blizzard released more information on things to come in a developer blog, announcing that new characters, maps, reworks, and rebalancing will all be part of the current beta, reflecting a work-in-progress. Fans of the support characters can look forward to more reworks in future betas along with changes to the scoreboard and menus.
Embracer Group is buying three development studios and their IP from Japanese publisher Square Enix, including the Tomb Raider and Deus Ex franchises. With this deal, Square Enix will be offloading its three biggest western studios in favor of focusing on new technologies like blockchain and cloud gaming.

Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty endowment announced that it has reached its placement goal two years ahead of schedule with 100,000 veterans placed in meaningful jobs. The endowment partners with organizations to place veterans in jobs at a significantly lower cost than similar efforts by the U.S. Department of Labor.
