World of Warcraft’s new Rogue-like dungeon – Polygon

Blizzard announced at BlizzCon 2019 Torghast, Tower of the Dammed, an end-game content for the Shadowlands expansion, with a rogue-like twist. One of the biggest rogue-like elements is how each failed attempt rewards players with strategic knowledge of how or how not to face a challenge. Featuring fixed level designs with procedurally generated enemy spawns and a set difficulty curve Torghast starts simple but evolves into complex mazes with traps and dead ends. Aside from usual loot drops, Torghast also gives players special Anima powers that only persist through their current run and can drastically change their playstyle.

Valorant’s first major patch – Polygon

Valorant has been in closed beta for two weeks now, and Riot has released its first official patch. As expected, this patch aims to rebalance Raze and Sage (the game’s two most powerful Agents). Raze is getting the most significant changes as she is more frustrating to players; her ability damage is getting a general decrease, and Riot is working to make the direction and heading of her attacks clearer to all players.  Sage’s control abilities are modified to facilitate counter strike without making an easy target of oneself. The patch is also addressing boundary bugs and network performance/stability issues.
