Square Enix announces work has officially begun on Kingdom Hearts IV at the series’ 20th-anniversary event. Kingdom Hearts IV will be the next installment after the mobile game, Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link which is set for a closed beta release in August.
QuakeCon returns in August, will be digital-only again – Polygon.com
QuakeCon, from publishers Bethesda Softworks, will again be a digital-only event this August. The company sets its sights on a return to an in-person format in 2023. This year’s con will consist of featured live streams and a virtual BYOC party with more detail arriving in June.
Activision Blizzard appoints Kristen Hines as new diversity boss – VentureBeat.com
Kristen Hines has been announced as the new chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer for Activision Blizzard. Hines says she is “looking forward to leading the company’s efforts to further build a workplace that values transparency, equity, and inclusivity.” Blizzard will also have Hines working with gaming teams to bring diversity and inclusion to storylines and character development in future projects.
