PlayStation veteran Shuhei Yoshida to retire in January – GamesIndustry.biz

Shuhei Yoshida of Sony Interactive Entertainment is set to retire in January 2025 after a 31-year career with the PlayStation team. Brought in as part of the initial team to work on the original PlayStation, Yoshida is known for his work as president of SIE Worldwide Studios and his work as head of PlayStation Indies.

Scopely has selected Charity Joy, formerly of EA Sports, as the CEO of Mirai, a new studio in the Middle East and North Africa region. Under Joy’s leadership, Mirai will focus on developing local talent and gathering a team that “accelerates the capacity of the game development talent in the region.”
