CoD: Black Ops Cold War, Firebase Z – Polygon
Black Ops Cold War Zombies’ first DLC map is right around the corner. Treyarch announced the release of this new map on February 3rd. Firebase Z is a secret test site and ground zero for another Dark Aether outbreak, so this map should bring both new and familiar elements to zombies.
Rainbow Six Siege and Ghost Recon Breakpoint Crossover – Polygon
Ghost Recon has a history of crossing over with various Ubisoft titles, and the next update to Breakpoint brings operators from Rainbow Six Siege. There are nine new missions in this update, along with new cosmetic items and weapons, all inspired or based on Siege. In total, there will be more than 120 new customization items. Additionally, Breakpoint will be free to try Jan. 21 – 24.
Activision Blizzard employees donated $1.6Million to charity – GameSpot
Activision Blizzard announced that their holiday charity campaign was very successful with more than 8,000 employees collecting over $1.6Mil in donations to charities. Activision Blizzard stated they wished to give back to communities to finish off the year.
New Star Wars game in development by Division 2 team – GameSpot
Ubisoft announced their partnership with Lucasfilm Games on a new Star Wars game following the end of EA’s exclusivity deal. Little is yet known about the game besides the description of an open world, story-driven Star Wars adventure. Ubisoft placed Massive Entertainment in charge of development. Massive Entertainment is a studio best known for its work on games as a service with Division 2 as the most prominent example.
